Spring Bank Frederick,MD Coming 2014 download site plan CHALLENGE To build a mixed-use community on a 10 acre farmland while preserving the old historical bed and breakfast building built in 1888 situated on the edge of the plot. SOLUTION After a challenging process, the land was finally annexed to the city of Frederick in 2009. The proposed mixed-use development comprises of a 65,000sq.ft office building, 64 townhouse units, and the preserved historical building. The design focused on integrating the proposed new developments while using the historical building as a reference and inspiration for building heights, materials and architectural details.
